Today, Plex has released Plex TV and DVR for subscribers after it was in beta for some time. It allows somebody to record live TV and playback, rewind or pause it in real-time. To use these features you will definitely need a tuner (here's the link for the selection of compatible TV tuners) for live TV but nothing other than that to run this. The service will also allow one to stream live TV to iOS and Android devices. Apple TV and other set up devices will be available at a later date.
Plex Live TV and DVR will also allow people to have as much storage as they need and supports lots of different tuners. You'll also have to subscribe to it's Plex Pass which is $5 monthly, $40 yearly or $120 for a one time fee to access the Live TV and DVR features. The Plex Pass Subscription comes with Plex Cloud, Offline Access and more.
