How to Bypass Online Advertisements on Google Chrome

Online ads can be a pain in the rear especially with the rate they pop up, I understand your pain and I understand that sites need their money but I don't feel that advertisements need to be bombarded on one's screen every time they go to a site so I'm here to tell you how to solve that issue in the steps below.

Below here are download links to the add-ons on the google app store to get what we call an Ad Blocker (software for your browser that blocks ads as they pop up whether it's a video ad or regular advertisement). Install this and I'll explain the rest of how the use the software below.

Chrome Add-On Links:

Ghostery - Privacy Oriented Ad Blocker for Google

UBlock Origin - Ad Blocker that is easy on CPU / Memory

Usage of Ghostery: Once you got it downloaded, you'll find a icon that looks like a blue ghost next to the web address box. Click on it and you'll find options for what's tracking you and other add-ons on the site. If you don't mind ads, you click the "Trust Site" icon, if you rather not have any ads then click "Restrict Site" and then reload the page to see the changes.

Usage of UBlock Origin: Once you got it downloaded, you'll see a stop sign on the top right next to the web address box. Click on that "Stop Sign" and you'll find the options in a box. At the bottom of the box the "film" icon just stops video ads while the "eye that has a cross" just stops cosmetic filtering like tracking, cookies etc.
