LG Announces Smartphone With Mosquito Repelling Tech

LG today announced a India-Exclusive Smartphone that features mosquito repellent technology (LG dubs it "Mosquito-Away").  It appears to use ultrasound tech (sound lower than what the human ear can hear) that produces an annoying sound to keep bugs away but I wouldn't recommend it around your pets that have sensitive hearing (Dogs especially).

The phone itself has a 5 inch HD Display, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB Storage and an unspecified Quad Core Processor. From the specs of this phone it is a budget phone at $121 but I wouldn't recommend this phone if you're just buying it for the mosquito repellent feature that you can buy as a separate device on Amazon for a lower price point (Off's blower fan). A BBC report claims that the tech is a myth however I have read plenty of reviews  from Amazon customers that use Ultrasonic repellent plugins for an power outlet and they say it works with other bugs like Spiders, Mosquitos on the other hand might be a different story.
