Nvidia Volta GV100 Chipset Unveiled
Nvidia has finally pulled the curtain back on it's Nvidia Volta GV100 Chipset at GTC 2017 and it looks awesome with the specs. It's the first chipset that includes TSMC's 12nm finFET technology, it also consisted of 12 GB of High Bandwidth Memory version 2 (HBM2) on-chip and 5120 CUDA cores.
Now one might ask why would 12 GB of HBM2 be necessary for the average person? It wouldn't, this is primary focused on AI machine learning and supercomputers but this kind of shows the direction of where Nvidia is possibly going for the next-gen Titan GPU as well as their GTX line of GPUs.
