GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Rumored to Be in The Making

While AMD has been trying to get a roll on it's Vega Gaming GPU that provides graphical performance somewhere between Nvidia's GTX 1080 and 1070, Rumors have popped up with claims that Nvidia is gearing up to compete against AMD's new entry in the arena with a GTX 1070 ti. Rumor has it that Nvidia is putting together a Pascal GP104 GPU with 2304 cores and 8GB DDR4 RAM. This particular SKU will have graphical performance between a GTX 1080 and 1070 and is rumored to be called the GTX 1070 ti. Now I have seen Nvidia add the "Ti" label to it's past GTX X60, XX50 and XX80 GPUs but the fact that they would do it on the GTX 1070 series is a rarity and it's something I haven't seen in my 5 years of following the PC Gaming scene.

The rumor for now doesn't provide substantial proof to support the claim just yet but I wouldn't rule it out because such a move wouldn't be illogical for Nvidia to do with AMD's Vega Gaming GPU released just recently. Sometimes being the first person to come out of the gate with something new isn't the best move because when you do that you expose yourself and your competitors use it for their advantage so most likely Nvidia is taking it's time on this one. If Nvidia does go through and add the GTX 1070 ti to it's product line then I would expect them to knock down the price of it's original GTX 1070 to remain competitive.
