How to Block Telemarketers and Political Calls

These days it's hard not to receive phone calls from telemarketers, political offices and organizations and even scammers in this era where selling people's personal information seems to become increasingly the norm regardless of what telephone service you go with. Comcast sells information, AT&T sells your information even practically your grandma down the street sells your information (well maybe not quite the latter part). So the question is how does one manage to stop these pesky calls or at least the very least significantly reduce them? Well let's find out.

For Landline Phones, You could get what is called a "telemarketer blocker" which is a device built to block these calls on your landline, you'll have to decide how much you want to spend (anywhere from $30-$150). Next you'll have to decide if you rather block them manually or have the device do it automatically for you which naturally is more expensive. I would look at Amazon for one of these as they have the biggest selection.

If you rather do it through software than hardware then set up your phone for Nomorobo, it even has a app for you cellphone. Now the FCC has said you could sign up your phone for the Do-Not-Call list but in my experience and others online, the system is so backed up with requests that it doesn't function as intended. I have told businesses to put me on the Do-Not-Call list with no results, they just keep calling back and harassing me.

For Android Cellphone user, here's the Play Store link to find apps that will block these pesky calls, you'll have to look through the list although I would say out of most of them, Truecaller: Caller ID & Dialer looks like the best one to use without ads in it and it works for most people.

For iPhone Cellphone Users, I would recommend this fairly new app that seems to be very useful, it's called CallBlock and it's supposed to block over 2 million telemarketers which is astonishing to say the least.

I hope that this helps you guys as much as it helped me, it's fairly sad that we live in a world that spams phone calls but you know what can I say, thankfully there's solutions to this nonsense.
