Sony and The EA Access Debacle

A couple years back EA went to Sony to approve an application to be posted to the PS Store called EA Access, Sony denied the proposal citing lack of value for it's players. However Microsoft and rightly so approved the app, Granting it a victory over Sony. Players however were none-the-less outraged on comment boards and took aim at Sony for turning down the EA access app for such a non-sense reason.

Back then due the approval process, Sony was at the time pushing it's brand new PS Now service for users however the service only offered older PS3 games and no PS4 games like Sony promised at its E3 2013 event that introduced the PS4 to the world. 4 years later Sony finally decided to introduce PS4 titles to it's PS Now service most likely due to the lack of return on it's investment.

All one had to do was the math and they would see the value of Origin Access not to mention the service provides a better selection of games than PS Now ever imagined offering in the first place. The main reason Sony turned it down was because it wanted profits and EA access would turn away potential PS Now users. The proposal denial would be one of Sony's first mistakes due to its greediness and it's cockiness of it's Playstation 4 success which was seen after the Xbox One infamous conference that turned people off.
